“A floating-shell design in the heart of western Mexico”
Opened in 2010, the Estadio Akron —known as 'La Perla Tapatía'— is the home of Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas). Its iconic floating white-shell roof is the hallmark of a bold, cutting-edge design that sets it apart from any other stadium in the world. For the 2026 World Cup, Guadalajara becomes one of Mexico's most important host cities.
